2014 Baseball Catching Clinic
Sunday February 16 — Ages 8 – 18
This one-day (5 hour) clinic will provide young catchers with all the information and knowledge they need to be a strong defensive catcher. Players will work with current and former Minor League baseball players on every aspect of catching. Coaches and players are invited to explore the fundamentals of defensive catching at Paradigm Sport’s elite catching clinic!

Joey is a lifelong athlete whose career embodies the spirit of Paradigm Sport. A central coast native, his talent and passion for baseball took him to the professional level (Toronto Blue Jays) where he worked with some of baseball’s best trainers and coaches. After retiring from professional baseball in 2005, Joey has made it his life’s mission to provide the best baseball related instruction possible to the youth in Santa Cruz County. As an ACSM-certified trainer, he now shares his experience and enthusiasm with leading competitive athletes and fitness clients alike. His success at the high school, college and professional levels both demonstrate his relevant experience and make him uniquely qualified to share his knowledge of the sport.
Tyler just finished his seventh year of professional baseball as a memeber of the San Francisco Giants Organization. In 2012, LaTorre played his season with the Giants top affiliate, the AAA Fresno Grizzlies. After graduating from Aptos High School in 2001, Tyler attended the University of California Davis and played 4 years of Division 1 baseball garnering multiple All-Conference Selections. LaTorre graduated from UC Davis in 2006 and soon after signed with the San Francisco Giants. Over the course of his professional career, LaTorre has been a part of three League Championship teams. So far his career highlight is his Big League Spring Training Invite in 2011. During the off-season, LaTorre is a substitute teacher in Santa Cruz County and also conducts baseball camps, clinics and private lessons for Northern California’s youth baseball players.

Cost — $125 per attendee
Ages — 8 to 18 years old. Coaches welcome to attend as well.
Equipment — Attendees must bring their own catchers gear to participate in either clinic.
Before campers can participate, parents need to fill out registration and release forms. Click on the Registration button below to download and print the registration and release forms. All forms must be completed and mailed to the address on the registration form with a check. If you prefer to pay online, click on the Pay Online button and you will be taken to our payment center where you may pay for the baseball camp with a credit card. However you choose to pay, you must mail in the registration and release forms.
