evel Up is a practical and honest assessment of your physical fitness and strength relative to body-weight based standards that were developed by Tanner and I, 3 years ago. And since then we’ve been holding Level Up sessions every quarter, called Testing Day.
We’re changing the name to Level Up reflecting the true nature of our intent to provide a tool that one, measures a progression of improving strength and endurance and two, is reflective of consistent effort and increasing intensity of work. We believe this leads to better fitness and health that allows you to perform at your highest level in life, whether it’s in winning world championships, becoming better at the sport you love, or feeling and looking better in the sport of life.
It’s true that achieving a top 5 time or weight standard on the Leader Board is competitive and may be neither desirable nor achievable by some. It’s also true that the movement through the levels from Novice, Beginner, Intermediate up to Elite is achievable by and intended for everyone. It is a way for you to get curious about your current level of fitness and strength and then focus your training efforts to improve.
BodySpec is scheduled to be on-site, the same day, January 4th, to measure body fat, muscle and bone; it’s another tool you can use to help monitor your health and wellness. Schedule your appointment here.
I encourage you to Sign Up for Level Up on January 4th to make the most of your investment of time and effort in your fitness and health. At the end of the day, it’s not about being the best, it’s about becoming your best.
Hope to see you there.
