e’ve all been there: super motivated to crush a workout plan, but life gets in the way, and before you know it, a week has gone by without hitting the gym. Consistency is tough, especially with all the distractions out there. But if you’re reading this, I know you’re ready to make a change and get back on track.
So, what’s the problem? It’s easy to start strong, but sticking with it is where things get tricky. Maybe you get busy with work, family, or Netflix binge-watching (hey, no judgment!). But skipping workouts can add up. Suddenly, that progress you made? Poof! It’s gone, and you’re back to square one.
Here’s the thing: inconsistency can mess with your motivation and slow down your results. It’s like trying to fill up a bucket with holes in it—you’ll keep pouring in effort, but it won’t get you anywhere. But don’t worry, there’s a fix!
1. Set Realistic Goals
Start small. If you’re aiming for perfection, you’re setting yourself up to fail. Instead, commit to a few workouts a week that you can realistically fit into your schedule. If you’re consistent, the results will come. Once you’ve set your goal, book classes ahead of time, that will make you more likely to follow through (at paradigm you are allowed to book up to a week in advance)
2. Schedule It Like a Meeting
Treat your workouts like an important appointment—because they are! Put them on your calendar and don’t let anything bump them. If you wouldn’t cancel a meeting with your boss, don’t cancel on yourself.
3. Find a Workout Buddy
Accountability is huge. Find someone who’ll keep you on track and make sure you show up. Plus, working out with a friend is way more fun, and you’re less likely to skip if someone’s counting on you.
By making these small changes, you’ll see big improvements in your consistency, and before you know it, working out will be a regular part of your routine. Imagine feeling stronger, more energized, and less stressed because you’re crushing your fitness goals. That’s what’s waiting for you on the other side of consistency!
You’ve got this!
Cheers,
Joey Wolfe
