hink different. Do different.
Or maybe…
Doing different begets thinking different.
Either way, there is a mind-body relationship; one enables and reinforces the other.
The mind teaches the body and the body teaches the mind.
You already know this from your experience with training. A coach encourages you to try a new movement or increase resistance. You might think, oh that’s not possible, but you try and often discover, it is possible. Your body taught your mind something new. Next time, you might think, I did… last time, this time maybe I could do…?
What if you took the time to consider new ideas across the broader picture of your life? That might lead to taking part in new activities. Likewise, what if you engaged in a new endeavor? It might lead to new thought processes. Both could lead you to meeting new people, who might bring change to your life in other ways.
You decide.
How do YOU want to create change for yourself?
It matters only that you choose a method that works for you. Think different, do different are only two possibilities of where you might start.
You deserve to live the life of your dreams every day, not just on the weekend or on vacation.
So, disconnect the autopilot of going through the motions. Depending on your level of comfort with change, pick one thing to change or dump the entire proverbial apple cart out and start anew. And of course, there are many points in between these two extremes of one thing or everything. Pick something that suits you.
“More of the same” rarely results in breakthrough ideas or performance. Small adjustments applied consistently with focused intention can create change. If health and fitness are new on your list of 2020 goals or even if you’ve been training for a while consider doing something different… talk to a coach about Level Up or Personal 1:1 training to get the most out of your training sessions. Assess your current level of fitness and chart a path to become the best version of yourself.
Would it help you to know that your brain is capable of creating new neural pathways until the day you die? That means your potential for learning is possibly infinite.
I pose to you, a question that a good friend of mine once asked me… What are you waiting for?
