The holidays are coming—turkey dinners, family gatherings, and all the joy (and chaos) of the season. It’s the time of year when life gets busy, and workouts often take a backseat. Sound familiar?
Here’s the thing: it’s tempting to skip your workouts during the holidays, but those missed sessions can catch up with you fast. A few missed workouts turn into weeks off, energy dips, stress levels spike, and come January, you’re back at square one.
I get it—family, food, and festivities come first, as they should. But what if you didn’t have to choose? What if you could enjoy the holidays and keep your health and fitness on track?
Here’s the plan (it’s simple):
- Commit to Just 3 Workouts a Week.
Forget perfection. Showing up three times a week—whether it’s a quick workout or a full training session—keeps you moving forward. Can’t make it to the gym? Go for a brisk walk, do bodyweight exercises, or chase your kids around the yard. - Plan Your Workouts Like Appointments.
Treat them like the non-negotiables in your calendar. Block out 30–60 minutes and honor that time for yourself. Bonus: you’ll feel less stressed and more energized for all the holiday hustle. - Remember: It’s About Progress, Not Perfection.
If you overindulge at dinner (or at breakfast, lunch, and snacks too), it’s okay. One meal won’t derail you, and neither will one skipped workout. Just jump back in the next day.
Join the “Net Zero Challenge”!
This year, we’re helping you stay motivated and consistent with a fun (and rewarding) challenge: Maintain ZERO weight gain between November 28th and January 2nd!
Here’s how it works:
- START:
Weigh in with a Paradigm staff member on or before November 28th. Your weight will be privately logged in a binder at the front desk. - WEEKLY:
Weigh yourself each week. If your weight stays the same or goes down from your initial weigh-in, you’ll earn a smiley face sticker for the chart. - END:
Weigh in again on January 2nd or 3rd. Anyone who maintains zero weight gain will be entered into a drawing for a prize AND get the satisfaction of knowing you crushed the holidays with ZERO weight gain. - PRIZE:
The drawing will be held at the 6am Team Training class on Monday, January 6, 2025. You don’t need to be present to win!
This challenge is all about accountability and balance—enjoy the holidays, but stay consistent.
